Responsible for supporting CL&P management, Account Executives (AEs), distributed resources, and Marketing on technical matters (i.e., fuel comparisons, technologies, end-use energy comparisons, etc.). Evaluates marketing and sales programs/services and estimating policies and procedures. Represents the client in promoting the company’s products, services, initiatives, and communication programs to prospects and business partners. Provides technical support on regulatory and legislative matters. (i.e., Public Acts, Rate Cases, etc.). Ensures deliverable is in a comprehensive format tailored to the audience or requestor. Provides engineering and technical support on new and existing technologies and analysis to AEs on customer issues and/or requests. Increase awareness of end-use technologies and energy utilization issues by conducting presentations at local industrial trade associations. Provide input to corporate communications for articles to targeted periodicals. Provides support in evaluating technologies and the benefits and/or impact to CL&P while taking into consideration environmental, political and/or economic conditions. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. Advanced degree preferred. Minimum 2 years experience. Experience in financial analysis and cogeneration studies is a plus. Thorough knowledge of energy utilization/equipment and processes including a through knowledge of the competitive energy sources. Knowledge of economic analysis principals, Ability to work effectively in a team environment, make decisions, solve problems creatively, and to take the initiative. Good communication, presentation, computer and time management skills. Will have storm restoration and emergency duty assignments when needed.
