GENERAL FUNCTION

Create exceptional value in the lives of our customers by delivering legendary customer service and crafting perfect quality eyewear in about an hour.  Ensure enthusiastically satisfied customers all the time by performing and  coordinating implementation of the key steps of the "Sales and Service Process" and the "Quality Manufacturing Program".  To understand and bring to life for all store associates the LensCrafters' Vision, Mission, and Core Values.  Build and secure a safe, supportive and motivating working environment which encourages innovation and commitment.  Achieve store success by working towards the "maximum expectations" of the Standards of Performance guidelines.

 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Conveys a commitment to providing 100% Customer Service through competent, knowledgeable store Associates as measured by these key indicators:

o        Quality of Products 

o        Overall CSat (Excellent)

o        One-hour Service    

o        Knowledgeable/Friendly Service

o        Service after the Sale

·         Anticipates problems before they occur; explores underlying reasons for recurring customer problems; goes beyond symptoms to get at causes; strives to develop long-term solutions to problems.

·         Focuses on developing the most qualified store Associates by ensuring training in the following areas:

o         Orientation

o        Sales and Service Process

o        Quality, Fitting and Adjusting

o        Quality Manufacturing Process

o        Final Inspection

o        Loss Prevention

o        Company safety and regulatory compliance programs

o        Leadership

·         Encourages Associate decision making at the level closest to the customer.

·         Delivers clear, motivating and constructive feedback in a timely manner to all Associates.  Confronts problem performers directly and without delay; initiates appropriate disciplinary action when necessary and follows up to monitor progress.

·         Completes formal 90 day and annual performance reviews along with monthly sales and service coaching guides and QMP Review Questionnaires for all Associates.

·         Analyzes store financial data and develops/implements action plans to improve overall profitability. 

·         Strives to achieve "Far Exceeds Expectations" on all Standards of Performance criteria:

o        Overall CSat

o         % Sales to Plan   

o        % Controllables Plan

o        Remake Ratio

o        % Breakage

o        % One Hour

o        % Saturation of Training

·         Recruits and selects high caliber staff; is always on the lookout for promising individuals and cultivates relationships with them.

·         Forecasts staffing needs accurately based on available information and assigns associates through the use of SMART scheduling.  Quickly adjusts staffing levels up or down to meet unexpected increases or decreases in store traffic.

·         Accurately forecast sales monthly, weekly and daily for the purpose of forecasting actual dollar cost to the store P&L.

·         Performs administrative duties to include input of payroll and SPIFFS into the V2k system on a weekly basis.

·         Completes new hire and associate change paperwork in a timely manner, i.e., Personnel Change Notice (PCN), Training Change Notice (TCN).

·         Completes and files in a timely manner all necessary store and customer paperwork being thorough and exact in detail.

·         Accurately operates the V2k cashier terminal, when required, collecting proper payment following company security procedures and retaining proper change for a variety of transactions, such as credit cards, layaways, C.O.D.'s, discounts, insurance, coupons, returns and refunds.

·         Adheres to Company policies and procedures regarding MRIS and acknowledging receipt of physical inventory.

·         Prepares and executes physical inventory per Company guidelines.

·         Executes frame price adjustments within Company guidelines.

·         Minimizes both external and internal product loss through:

o        Securing specific product lines

o        Bag Checks         

o        Exit/Entrance Security

o        Access Control - Limit Keys, Monitoring Passwords

·         Ensures all Company approved safety programs are implemented and maintained consistently per standards, creating a safe working environment for all Associates/Customers.

·         Ensures all Associates are appropriately trained on the safe use, storage and disposal of approved laboratory chemicals, including annual refresher training.  Documents training certificates retained in personnel folders.  Ensures all newly hired associates receive chemical safety training as part of new hire orientation.

·         Conducts monthly safety inspections of store premises using self inspection checklist.  Opportunities documented and communicated to Regional Management.

·         Reports all contacts by Local, State, Federal regulatory agencies to the CSC Legal or Quality Assurance Department within 14 hours of contact.  Follow-up in writing.

·         Leads by example in demonstrating safe work practices including the wearing of safety glasses in the lab.

·          Maximize Optometric partnerships through participation and involvement in the following:

o        Coverage

o        Walk-in Availability    

o        In-house Prescriptions

o        M.D. Detailing

o        Co-op Relationships

·         Takes pride in the appearance of the store and ensures visual displays are in accordance with Company provided planograms.

·         Ensures all equipment is in good working order and required routine maintenance is performed.

 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

·       Knowledge of current optical theory and merchandise

·       Strong communicator and listener

·       Strong basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)

·       Strong negotiating and influencing skills

·       Problem solving ability

·       Familiarity with cash register, computers and calculators

·       Organization skills

·       Strong leadership skills

 

EDUCATION

·       College degree or equivalent experience

·       State licensure preferred (where applicable)

·       LensCrafters Inspector Certification preferred

·       LensCrafters Quality, Fitting and Adjusting Program preferred

·       ABO Certification in non-licensed states preferred

 

EXPERIENCE

·       Previous experience in customer service and retail preferred

·       4+ Management/supervisory experience

·       On feet most of the day
